FIFA 22 Hacking scandal

FIFA 22 has many problems with it if you speak to anyone that plays it, even if you take away aspects that infuriate players about the actual game, this year mistakes from EA have been at an all time high that have impacted the market, needless shadow bans for genuine trading, coin selling and buying is on the rise, leaks for promos are coming earlier and earlier, however we now have a new scandal on our hands that is getting out of control.

FUT accounts getting hacked.

As players we have known of accounts getting easily hacked for a while without EA doing anything about it … now however hackers have chosen more high profile targets that has gained interest from major news publications … bottom line … we have a major problem.

If you scour reddit you will see many a story of how a person has had their account hacked, coins gone and all their players sold … with no recourse from EA, this time though something has to be different.

Some of the highest profile FIFA 22 creators and traders have been targeted, some actually from their own influencing team the EA gamechangers … people such as Bateson87, RuntheFUTMarket, Trymacs, TisiSchubecH, FUT FG, FUT Donkey, JoaoSeleiro, Wael and more have been recently hacked with players on their accounts sold, coins wiped and in some instances hundreds of thousands of FIFA points spent … all without the users knowledge or consent!

Somehow with just a gamertag or PSN id, hackers were able to convince EA customer services to reset certain FUT accounts to a different email (that the hackers had access to) to block out the actual user from their own accounts so their accounts could be destroyed.

Even those that had 2FA on were bypassed simply because EA did follow security protocols for account recovery.

Now we have mainstream media attached to this … surely EA have to make a statement as is usual with EA they have been very quiet, this comes as no shock as they are very silent when they make mistakes … instead of talking about they instead decided to hype up TOTY, as the old saying goes a fool and his money are soon parted.

We even have EA Gamechangers leaving the program and speaking out saying that they never get any support from EA and are getting ignored, they are basically used as marketing shills which some are fine with because they receive game codes, shirts and early access to things … But make this clear EA Sports and FIFA are in a real bad way right now.

For now though as we await news of the next chapter of this scandal a petition has been set up to try and make EA take notice
